Coast & Country Insurance Consultants Pty Ltd is a well-established, highly regarded company located at The Entrance on the N.S.W. Central Coast. The business commenced in 1991 after Ken Ryan and Bob Wonnacott decided that there was a genuine need for someone to provide ‘old fashioned’ service, advice, and a place where people could take care of ALL of their insurance requirements! The Company has two Managing Directors (with combined insurance experience of over 60 years) and 5 employees. It has the support and assistance of major Life and General insurance companies. In 2003, we expanded our services and added Coast & Country Home Loans to our business, so that we could help our clients with their many Financial requirements.

The company has a large and varied client base located mainly on the Central Coast, as well as in the city and country areas of New South Wales. It also has clients in various other parts of Australia. The depth of experience and knowledge of the company’s directors and staff enables us to provide a wide range of insurance and personal services. Those services are best summarized as follows:

5. Income Protection, Life & Trauma. Arranged as a package or independently, is just one of the major strengths of Coast & Country! Enabling us to provide protection and security of income and lifestyle, to clients of various occupations and professions.
6. Superannuation. Providing personal and business superannuation , including insurance to comply with the superannuation guarantee legislation . Dealing with superannuation bonds, rollovers, superannuation pensions and annuities.
7. Premium Funding. We recognise the need for some clients to be able to pay their premiums in installments, thereby assisting their personal or business cash flow. We have therefore obtained the assistance of a major premium funding company and can provide a number of installment variations!
8. Banking & Finance Products are available through Coast & Country Insurance Consultants & Coast & Country Home Loans. Personal and business loans, term deposits and home loans, lo-doc loans, motor vehicle loans and other types of finance.
9. Legal Services. Associates of Coast & Country are able to provide legal assistance and advice in the setting up of business’s, buy/sell, share purchase and partnership agreements, wills, or anything where legal information or action is required.

Ken has been involved with local business’s and insurance for over 25 years, having been ‘Born & Bred’ on the Central Coast. Extensive time has been spent in the Life Insurance and Investment industry. In particular 14 years were spent with MLC Life in various roles including Management.

His expertise is in Income Protection, Life, Trauma and Superannuation for the self employed and employed, and Corporate Superannuation products for all styles and types of businesses including business Superannuation Guarantee ( SG ) products, and advice. Also the setting up of Key Man and Partnership Protection with the help of our associates.

He is currently expanding our portfolio of business in the professionals Group Risk area, providing disability and life cover for Management and staff as a specially designed package for doctors, solicitors and practitioners of all types.

Ken currently holds Certificate IV in Financial Planning and continues to attend courses and obtain qualifications as required.

Bob has been in the Insurance Industry for over 35 years with extensive experience in both General and Life Insurance.

His particular expertise is in the Small Business/ Trades area, with Business Packages, Income Protection, and associated insurances. Also with Professional Occupations, for Income Protection, Life and Trauma cover, Professional Indemnity and office packages.

He is dedicated to providing total security and service to Coast & Country clients and the clients of its associates.

Bob is a member of the Insurance Advisers Association of Australia, which promotes professionalism, insurance knowledge, and a Code of Ethics for insurance agents. He is currently expanding our marketing, information, networking and service operations, and is constantly looking for better products and better ways to help our clients.

Tony is responsible for running our Home Loan and Finance operations. He has over twenty five years experience in the finance industry, as manager of a finance company and running his own finance brokerage and consultancy business. He enjoys meeting new people and providing help and ongoing assistance to our existing clients. His aim and the aim of Coast & Country Home Loans is to provide a total financial service to all our clients from home loans and business loans to motor vehicle loans - with the best of rates and service!

Life Administrator - Paula Halliwell

Paula looks after the life, trauma, disability and superannuation client data base. She has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years, 3 years as an adviser with AMP and the remaining years with Coast & Country.

Paula is our Life Risk Manager and looks after all our life clients , problem solving and point of contact for claims, providing efficient and speedy answers to all queries.

Paula is accredited with a number of Life Insurance Companies and continues to update her knowledge to fulfil the requirements of the Code of Practice.

Kerri is responsible for new business inquiries for General Insurance and servicing our existing Commercial Insurance clients. Ensuring that our clients insurance needs are regularly reviewed and that they are kept up to date with new covers and products that most suit their needs.

Kerri also assists in the administration of our office with accounts, office procedures etc. She works with both Commercial and Domestic Insurance products i.e. Business, Professional Indemnity, Trades, Home & Contents, Landlords, Motor Vehicle, Farm, Marine etc. This coupled with her background in customer service enables her to assist our clients professionally and efficiently, with their various insurance needs.

Insurance Administrator - Diane Turner

Diane has had over 33 years experience in the insurance industry and is responsible for a range of General, Domestic and Commercial Insurances including our Blue Dog Trade pack. All policies are reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that the best cover is offered to our clients. As our claims expert Diane ensures all claims are handled in a quick and efficient manner for our clients. Diane is also responsible for the successful ongoing marketing offered for our Blue Dog Trades pack. Diane is an invaluable part of the team and is dedicated to building relationships with clients to ensure all their insurance needs are met.

Receptionist - Simone West

Simone is the newest recruit to Coast & Country and is generally the first point of contact by phone or in person – with her warm smile and friendly personality her job is to make our many existing clients and new clients feel welcome every time they contact us- she also issues Greenslips and deals with the computer processing and the day to day processing of office paperwork.
